Last week we talked about the first step in creating a life that is aligned with us. This first step was finding and acknowledging our values by answering two questions: 1.) What is important to you? 2.) What do you want to make of your life?

So once we understand what we value in this life, we can take that information and use it to create a life we love.
The second step is planning your life.
It’s helpful to use the “What Do You Want?” page in the Daily Intent Journal & Planner to be able to put it all on paper in an organized way.

I’ve broken down a human life into categories. On this page, we can visualize what we want each day or week to look like in relation to these categories.
Once we have an idea of what each category would look like according to our values, we can move onto step 3.
Step 3 is setting goals.
The goals we set should reflect our values and help us move closer to that ideal day or week.
You'll see in my video what kind of goals I set for the month and why.
You could go ahead and set goals for however many months ahead you want to with the next two columns if that will be helpful for you.
For the purpose of my demonstration, I’m only creating 1 month goals. I also think I do better taking it one month at a time. Everyone is different!
Once we have our goals that we created based on our values and what we want our life to look like, we can move to step 4.
Step 4 is creating routines.
Now no one is forcing you to go through these steps. Maybe you don’t want to create routines for whatever reason.
Do what you want, but the actions you take each day during your routines really add up and can move you toward reaching your goals.

After you’ve done steps 1 through 4 you should know your values, know what you want in this life and why, have goals that reflect your values and what you want, and you should have some routines that move you closer to your ideal day as well as reaching those goals you have set.
The next and last two steps to create a life you love and that is aligned with you are restructuring your life to reflect your values and checking in with yourself on a daily basis. The next video will be about these two steps.
